I have installed the "Configurable Menu" applet in Cinnamon and it works, but it shows strange elements when searching in the search bar.
How do I remove them?

Hi, this is a problem of the applet itself, I have Virtualized Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.1 on virtualbox .. and also observed these elements.
If you're interested you can ask about this question to the authors (Lester Carballo and Garibaldo) of this applet.

Configurable Menu is not a package, so don't can handle dependencies, errors and information about the problem are shown when you install cinnamon installer. How cinnamon installer can run on different os, all possible differents modules reported the missing dependencies. The user need to decide where is the module that he need, taking on account the distro.
In the Arch case:
"Impossible to run Cinnamon Installer 0.7 on your OS.
Your Linux distribution is unsupported or are missing some packages.
If you want to contribute to fix the problem, please visit:
Cinnamon Installer.
Error Message:
No module named 'aptdaemon'
No module named 'pyalpm'
cannot import name PackageKitGlib, introspection typelib not found"
Solution:
pacman -S pyalpm namcap
