[Request] PKGBUILD for alliance

A new alliance source has been updated at ftp://asim.lip6.fr/pub/alliance/distrib … .1.tar.bz2

I wish to update the PKGBUILD file on https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/alliance/ instead of rebuilding/make installing from source as instructed on https://soc-extras.lip6.fr/en/alliance-abstract-en/ but the PKGBUILD file has an expired/invalid download link (for one of the source files)

I hope the maintainer could update the PKGBUILD file for alliance.

Thanks!!!

Re: [Request] PKGBUILD for alliance

You've just reported it to them on the AUR page today, give them time to get that request.

If you want to build it now, replace the source link yourself.

Re: [Request] PKGBUILD for alliance

I am sorry if I am seen pushing for the package to be updated.

However, this request has been sent out more than three weeks ago and not even one reply from the maintainer, speps.

I have emailed speps two days ago with no reply yet.

Anyone is able to help on this issue ?

Thanks a lot !

If the maintainer doesn't update it and doesn't repsond in the next few weeks, you'll have to do it. When you have a working PKGBUILD, then please consider taking over as maintainer with an orphan request.

Re: [Request] PKGBUILD for alliance

user123 - There isn't Alliance 5.1.1 successfuly build on every system I know wink (see: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buil … dID=569097). We have only Alliance 5.0-YYY in every distribution (Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu, Gentoo, etc.).
It's not problem only with "invalid" download link etc. (it's very easy to update); new sources have new directory structure, too (but this is easy to correct too). Main problem is, that there isn't "configure" script In alliance-5.1.1.tar.bz2 sources, but every instruction about how to build this apps from upstream is releted to this script. Then maybe ask somebody from upstream how to build this version from scratch.
