Hi all,
I recently got a MSI-WS60-2OJ. I get it works great with Arch but still got some hardware issues.
The main one is that the webcam seems to not be detected. I asked MSI about what kind of webcam is integrated and got the following :
SYS/OPTICAL MODULE/CMOS CAMERA MODULE/2.0M FHD 1920x1080/W MIC*2/SUYIN/HF2046-T830-OV02/RTS5830/OV2724/HEIGHT 2.99+/-0.2mm/ ONLY FOR VBUS 5V/FOR MS-1772,RoHS COMPLIANCE
It seems to be a Suyin FHD camera, with a stereo mic included. However, I can't get any informations about someone who get this works ! Is anybody here has the same problem ?
I tried to find some informations inside the logs but... Can't get anything ![]()
Here is the dmesg log http://pastebin.com/FtCrUj4M
Here the result of lsusb http://pastebin.com/TBMs3hHg
And the result of lspci with verbose enabled http://pastebin.com/bfX2wNf2
Thanks a lot guys, for any information which can lead me to get this works !

Webcam-s are mostly connected through usb so show the output of lsusb.

It seems your webcam is not supported out of the box.
Have a look at http://www.ideasonboard.org/uvc/. There are couple webcams listed from SuYin but it doesn't seem your type of laptop is indicated there. But:
The table below lists known UVC devices. Other UVC compliant video input devices are very likely to be supported. If your UVC device is not listed below, please report it to the Linux UVC development mailing list. You need to subscribe to the list before posting.
Also search that mailing list, there are some SuYin devices (probably different from one of yours) discussed.
