Music player with high dpi support?

I usually use Clementine as music player. Unfortunately, it does not have any hidpi support (3200x1800 resolution on a 13.3'' display). So do you know any good music player with hidpi support?

Re: Music player with high dpi support?

You could use MPD and either a terminal client, Qt5 client (Cantata), or a web client.

I just looked at the Arch Linux wiki page for HiDPI. The state of HiDPI in Linux is kind of a mess, isn't it. sad

Re: Music player with high dpi support?

I have a 13.3" 3200x1800 screen on which DeaDBeeF (Community) scales like other GTK apps in Gnome 3 and suits me fine.

Re: Music player with high dpi support?

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't really want to try mpd, I prefer a simple music player without Client/Server infrastructure... I've just installed deadbeef, but there I have the same problem as with clementine (the icons are way too small for my screen).

I would appreciate further suggestions. And podcast support would be nice.

DeaDBeeF supports podcasts.

Can't you just fix the issue with the icon size? I assume someone has figured out how to resolve it...

Re: Music player with high dpi support?

I should maybe have added that I'm running Gnome 3 with 'Window scaling' factor 2 and I enabled the GTK3 plugin in DeaDBeeF's 'GUI/Misc' preferences (GTK2 appears to be the default) -- not least because that plugin embodies any claim DeaDBeeF might have to HiDPI support. smile

Thanks for this information. With gtk3 enabled deadbeef looks great! I'm going to try it.

Re: Music player with high dpi support?

as already mentioned, cantata uses qt5, which should work fine with hidpi
