ASUS G75V Cannot load Live USB

I am trying to load up the latest Arch Linux live ISO image off a USB stick on my ASUS G75V (UEFI), and am able to get to the initial load menu, but when I choose load Arch Linux it just reboots the computer. Are there some particular kernel parameters I can pass to the launcher to get this to work? In the past when using Antergos I believe I passed "nomodeset" and "nouveau.mode=0" but I haven't been able to get this working with Gummiboot. Thanks in advance for any help!

Not sure if it helps but a basic specs page is here.

Re: ASUS G75V Cannot load Live USB

Have you tried using the HashTool to enrol the hash of loader.efi & vmlinuz.efi?
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Un … ecure_Boot

Failing that, is there an option in your firmware (BIOS) menu to disable Secure Boot?

Re: ASUS G75V Cannot load Live USB

I have Secure Boot disabled so that is not the cause of the problem.

EDIT: Note that I currently have GRUB installed and working with a Windows 8 / Antergos dual boot setup. I am trying to use the Live USB to do a full disk backup.

Re: ASUS G75V Cannot load Live USB

How did you transfer the ISO image to the USB stick?

What is the output of:

# efibootmgr -v

Re: ASUS G75V Cannot load Live USB

I transferred the image using dd under Linux as per the wiki's recommendation.

Where should I enter the command? In the UEFI shell?

If you want, but it would probably be easier to do it from Antergos.

Got it, will do in a couple hours when I'm able. Thanks for the help.

EDIT: Here is the efibootmgr -v output.

Re: ASUS G75V Cannot load Live USB

Whatever the issue was I got the Antergos Live USB to boot properly for me, so I guess I have access to an "Arch-like" option for the G75V. I can just get Clonezilla with Pacman.
