Hello All,
Been using Arch since about Xmas, came from Ubuntu. Since that time, I have been using an application called OGMRip to rip my DVD's to MKV files so I can play them on my popcorn hour. Up until this weekend, when I did a "pacman -Syu" I was able to select DTS and AC3 for my audio in OGMRip. Howewer, when I went to rip some more DVD's on saturday, I noticed the OGMRip profile I created was gone, and when I was setting up the profile, I noticed that DTS was no longer an option under the Audio tab in OGMRip.
I am running Arch 64bit with gnome, which had a full system update (pacman -Syu) this past weekend.
Any ideas what could have happened?
I have another post here: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=91683
any help is appreciated.

Did some more troubleshooting during lunch without success.
I reinstalled mplayer, ogmrip (from AUR), as well as mkvtools.
no change.
Any idea what could have changed and how to fix it? I still have many DVD's to rip, and the only options I have for audio is OGG, MP3, and AAC.

Here are some more things I tried.
I had VBox installation that had Arch 32 installed to it back in November, and the installation did not have OGMRip on it, so I proceeded to install OGMRip.
After the installation, I did not have AC3 or DTS for audio options.
I checked my Ubuntu installation at work and OGMRip has DTS and AC3 audio options, and I *had* them in my Arch system too.
Any idea why they are not there and how I can get them back? any help is appreciated as my DVD ripping has come to a halt because of it.

just compiled mplayer from svn by following the steps listed here: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Com … r_From_SVN and that did not help either.
I'm at a loss. is anyone else running OGMRip?
I really could use a way to rip my DVD collection to MKV files with the correct audio.
I would hate to jump distros just because of this problem that cropped up within the past week.

When I run ogmrip from the terminal, I get this:
Plugin libogmrip-vorbis.so disabled: OggEnc is missing
Plugin libogmrip-srt.so disabled: GOCR, Ocrad and Tesseract are missing
Plugin libogmrip-mp4.so disabled: MP4Box is missingis there a way for me to tell if DTS is installed on my system?
Is anyone else having this issue?

I installed Tesseract, which gave me some profiles, but still no DTS or AC3.
after more troubleshooting, someone suggested I run the following from a terminal:
mplayer -ac help | grep "dts\|dca"and my output is:
ffdca ffmpeg working FFmpeg DTS [dca]
dts libdca working DTS-libdca
hwdts hwac3 working DTS through S/PDIFso it appears that DTS is installed in MPlayer, correct?
any ideas?

A downgrade of ogmrip to version 13.3-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz from /var/cache/pacman/pkg seemed to take care of the issue. Looks like could be a bug in OGMRip. how do we notify the maintainer?

Simply download tesseract with yaourt and profile's automatically appear in ogmrip.
