libXvMCW.so.1 Missing using mythtv

OK, I am following the Wiki on how to install MythTV and so far, I am at the mythtv-setup and I get this error:

mythtv-setup: error while loading shared libraries: libXvMCW.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Anyone know how to fix this? I tried to install the xf86 monocrom driver, but still get this error...

Thanks!!!

i just did this yesterday actually! you need the "xine-lib" package to satisfy the library, it should be made a dependency for the package, i just havent had time to file a bug report. just pacman the package and you'll be set!

Re: libXvMCW.so.1 Missing using mythtv

shouldnt that be added to the depends line for the mythtv package?

I would think so; or at least a note about it in the Wiki

Re: libXvMCW.so.1 Missing using mythtv

just submitted a bug report on the problem (my first one yay!  8) )

also, i re-checked my myth install and it wasnt xine-lib that fixed it, it was libxvmc. i must have just mass installed or something and got it in the mix.

edit: it might be wise to put a peice about it in the wiki just in case it doesnt get fixed right away and people run into it.. i'll do it tomorrow if i have time.
