2 Mini PCIE WLAN cards in T60, 1 detected

Hey guys,

I've added a second WiFi adapter to my T60 laptop because it has 2 mini PCIE slots on the inside. The 2 adapters are identical.

The problem I'm facing right now is, only 1 is being detected. I've ran lspci and ip addr and the second adapter is not being detected (as the MAC address is still the same and it's showing only 1 adapter).

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Henry.

Re: 2 Mini PCIE WLAN cards in T60, 1 detected

Some laptop BIOSes disable PCI devices which aren't original parts of the laptop, but if both cards have the same PCI IDs this shouldn't be a problem.

Sometimes resetting BIOS settings helps with disappearing hardware. Or, better, removing the CMOS battery if it's accessible.

You may also want to try some usual voodoo magic, like checking if the new card works alone, if the old one works in the second slot, swapping them, etc.
