why does this keep happening?

i tried the pacman colors shell script and it keeps coming out like this http://i.imgur.com/52efmp5.png

no matter what i change. any ideas?

Have you tried it in a bigger terminal window?

yup.. bigger, smaller,different terminal altogether, different font, etc.

Did you maybe copy and paste the script into a graphical text editor? Looks like there's some kind of offset on each row that could come from a wonky paste, especially since the problem is independent of font.
