Re: Xweston - run Xwayland like an ordinary X server using weston

I cant seem to get it to work properly; running `startx /usr/bin/xterm -- /usr/bin/Xweston` from inside X i get

[22:50:33.537] Error: /usr/lib/Xweston/dummy-client apparently cannot run at all.
               Quitting...[22:50:33.537] /usr/lib/Xweston/dummy-client exited with status 1
could not connect to wayland server
(EE)
Fatal server error:
(EE) Couldn't add screen
(EE)
xinit: giving up
xinit: unable to connect to X server: Connection refused
xinit: server error
Couldn't get a file descriptor referring to the console

while running from a vt i get

/usr/bin/Xweston: line 48: /dev/tty1: Permission denied
could not connect to wayland server
(EE)
Fatal server error:
(EE) Couldn't add screen
(EE)
xinit: giving up
xinit: unable to connect to X server: Connection refused
xinit: server error

running from within weston (within x) kinda works though.. Although startkde from xinitrc spawns my autostarted apps in my *real* X, while xbmc-standalone seem to work flawless (except for the weston taskmanager bar)

Re: Xweston - run Xwayland like an ordinary X server using weston

Finally some news on this project: I have pushed version 0.8.0 of the package. This should hopefully address the crashing on startup.
Also, not unimportant: I have switched to using the MIT license for the project, which is much more in line with other Xorg and Wayland licenses.

Please let me know of any issues or feature requests. Test and hack away! :-)
