Hi Guys,
OK, weird one this. When I insert a device, be it a memory stick or an external drive or a CD-ROM, Gnome Files pop up wants to open it by default with EasyTag and not Files (I have EasyTag installed by the way). Media such as blank CD-ROMS, blank DVDs and DVD films the pop up is fine. Where the heck do I change this? I have searched dconf, gconf and even tried the different settings in Removable Media under Details in System Settings.
Cheers

Hi EmyrB,
add this to your ~/.config/mimeapps.list
inode/directory=org.gnome.Nautilus.desktop;easytag.desktop;anjuta.desktop;audacious.desktop;Offline
@max.bra thanks for that. worked a treat ![]()
Another niggle though, everytime I mount sdb3 via Gnome Files it asks me for permission to mount the drive. How do I stop it from asking me permission?

well it depends!
as for your question, i infer your sdb3 is an internal partition, configured via fstab.
have you added 'user' option in fstab sdb3 line as you can read HERE?

@max.bra I don't want sdb3 mounted during boot, It only contains files I work on occasionally. When I was using UbuntuGnome I could mount the drive via Gnome Files and it wouldn't ask me for permission.

Set the right polkit rules for udisks2. I'll leave that as an excercise. ![]()
