de/wm independent wallpaper sharing!

Share the wallpaper you currently use..
I've never seen a wallpaper sharing thread taking off, but I'd like to see what you use independent of wm/de

I'll start:

Re: de/wm independent wallpaper sharing!

Here's one I've been using, but it's nothing fancy. It's based on artwork from the cover of my first novel.

I've been using images from here lately: http://downloads.inspirationhut.net/cat … urgrounds/

They are all blurry color backgrounds.

I love the space wallpapers of this guy on deviantart

I put at button on it. Yes. I wish to press it, but I'm not sure what will happen if I do.  (Gune | Titan A.E.)

Re: de/wm independent wallpaper sharing!

I'm currently using this Arch Linux Wallpaper. It adds a splash of color (but not too much) to my otherwise mostly black desktop. There are other similar wallpapers further down that page. I have a Chromecast at home which has some really gorgeous photographs as backgrounds which would make for great wallpapers too. Here's a Github repo that collects them all, though I'm unsure about the legality of distributing them.

All I did was playing around a bit with GIMP, and this is the result.
Credits to Dragonkahn and one of his famous wallpapers @ Deviantart: http://dragonkahn.deviantart.com/art/Sl … 2-60881670

I also made one with a transparent background, in case that you don't like the background in the wallpaper above.
Just put it on a background you prefer, and share it with us.

Update:
Also made a tiny modification while I where at it.
I simply put a lens on it. Again, I was inspired by Dragonkahn's original picture.
Such a copycat I am. Shame on me.

I am against stealing artwork. But borrowing when allowed to, and properly give gredits for it I have no problems with. (Even if I can feel a little bit ashamed for not coming up with my own stuff)
So... I guess I'm not a great artist. Only a "good" one by that definition wink

Oh... by the way. I have yet another creation for the Arch community. Anyone can feel free to do whatever you like with it. Heck... even call it your own. (Even if that would tick me off a little )

Re: de/wm independent wallpaper sharing!

I modified the above wallpaper by @sysghost. I was going to keep it to myself, but registered to share it. It is kinda my taste, but maybe someone else would like it too.
