Hey folks,
I made a kernel for the Lenovo Thinkpad X250 that fixes the issues with the trackpoint. No more psmouse modprobe hacks!
I pulled a patch from dtor's input for-linus branch and applied it to 4.0.0rc4. I was a bit too impatient to wait for it to get pulled into linux-git or linux-mainline, so here it is. If anyone else has a Lenovo Thinkpad X250, this kernel should work. It is based on linux-mainline, so if you run any alternative kernels, it might not work.
You can get the patch here.
Here's the AUR package: https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/linux-thinkpad-x250/

Was there a problem with the x250 and prior kernels? If so,this might be something that is worth putting into the wiki as well.

The patch I made hasn't been pulled into the new kernel's mainline yet, but it's almost there. Once 4.0.0 comes out in the official repos, this package is not necessary. I'm compiling a list of changes I had to make to get the X250 working besides build this kernel, and I plan to update the wiki pretty soon.
Edit: Wiki page is done

Linus has now merged in the patch. This package is now obsolete.
