Not a total newbie as I run Arch perfectly fine on my Macbook. I decided to install arch linux on my old early 2006 iMac as I already run it on my laptop, and I like to have the two systems with matching OSs.
I get this strange message every time I bootup, even from USB/DVD. It reads "appleir (Bunch of numbers): No inputs registered, leaving". I know its the IR receiver in the mac, but no where online points me towards a way of stopping it. If anyone knows how to fix this, please tell. It is very annoying at startup but goes after it says the message ~8 times.
