ati remote+lirc+kde

Can anybody point me to a tutorial for getting my ati remote wonder working with lirc. the ati_remote module works for me, but it doesn't quite do what I want it to do. I could use scripts to get the keypresses on the remote and then issue the DCOP commands that I want to use, but I want a more integrated solution.

Re: ati remote+lirc+kde

There isn't a whole lot getting around that cater for remotes unfortunately. Even apps like mplayer and xine require you to manually set up their bindings in ~/.lircrc. If you do find something I'd be very interested in hearing about it, LIRC is something I enjoy playing with but it works at the moment so it's a long way down my priority list sad

Re: ati remote+lirc+kde

What lirc devices do you have in /dev? It could just be a permission error but I need to restart after installing LIRC before I can read from /dev/lirc0.
