Hello,
I’m using a NEC POWERMATE-VL360 and would like to control the CPU fan to stop or slow it when CPU is idle.
I tried lm_sensors and used sensors-detect, it found module w83627ehf, which I can’t enable because of this: http://www.lm-sensors.org/wiki/FAQ/Chap … rnel2.6.31
I get:
# modprobe w83627ehf
modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'w83627ehf': Device or resource busy
in dmesg:
[ 4310.612090] w83627ehf: Found W83627EHG chip at 0x290
[ 4310.612171] ACPI Warning: SystemIO range 0x00000295-0x00000296 conflicts with OpRegion 0x00000295-0x00000296 (\SEN1) (20140926/utaddress-258)
[ 4310.612186] ACPI: If an ACPI driver is available for this device, you should use it instead of the native driver
Is there an ACPI driver available? How do I know that? Is there any way to control this fan?
