Soundcard headphone jack not recognized

Hi,

I'm running Arch Linux on a Dell XPS15 touch, everything was working pretty fine, but somehow in between the recent update cycles the system stopped recognizing an audio cable being plugged into the headphone jack. Everything was working until a month ago, I was hoping that with the next updates the problem would be fixed again...but until now: no luck.

My problem now is that I have to unplug and replug my cable for the headphone jack every time I boot my system, otherwise I get no audio via headphone jack...this really sucks!

Journalctl -f gives me nothing, current kernel is  3.19.2-1-ARCH.

Re: Soundcard headphone jack not recognized

As pointed out by AnonFriendly's post you need to provide more information about your setup.
