Razerd doesn't work when started at boot.

Hey, as the title says the razerd service does not work when I start it at boot. (using systemctl enable razerd)

I'm currently using the git version from the aur to see if it would fix anything, though I was using the standard package before.

What happens is that if I have razerd enabled, my mouse will not move at all.  The only fix to this i've found is:

pkill razerd
unplug the mouse, replug
systemctl start razerd (or sudo razerd)

If I boot the system without the service enabled and start it post boot it works fine.  Help?

Mouse is a Razer Deathadder 3.5.  Worth noting that it was working perfectly a couple days ago.

Heres an xorg.0.log of a recent boot:

Re: Razerd doesn't work when started at boot.

Heres what happens when I try to start the service after having it at startup.  (when I dont unplug the mouse inbetween)

[toqoz@qhost ~]$ sudo pkill razerd
[sudo] password for toqoz:
[toqoz@qhost ~]$ sudo razerd
Razer device service daemon
librazer: Failed to claim USB interface
librazer: hw_deathadder: Failed to claim device

Re: Razerd doesn't work when started at boot.

Hi
I share the way that works for me and I found it accidentally big_smile. I hope it helps somebody:

First, enable razerd service:

sudo systemctl enable razerd.service

Then start it:

sudo systemctl start razerd.service

PS: There is a piece of bad news, Razer Configuration still couldn't recognize my mouse (Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed) and keyboard (Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed) sad

GLinBoy, Welcome to the forums, and thank you for a relevant post; but as has been pointed out, watch the age of the threads -- this one is 7 years old, a lot can change in that time.
