ATI R9 290 lost displayport

Hi,

My Displayport has suddenly died after a reboot.

I have a recently altered system, in that I added an R9 290 Sapphire Tri-X OC and a 4K monitor.

This is set up to run with my existing 2K monitor, which is on HDMI.

xrandr --output DisplayPort-0 --auto --output HDMI-0 --auto --right-of DisplayPort-0

After about a week of reboots, now the DisplayPort is dead. The monitor says it has no signal. xrandr says the DisplayPort device is Disconnected.

The HDMI still works for both monitors via the same card.

I am on 3.19.2-1 and the open source ATI driver xf86-video-ati.

I have yet to try tuning any settings to deal with black on wake and video shearing on movie playback. I am more concerned about getting DP working. This is basically out of the box.

Searching the web seems to have one or two references to R9 290 DP flakiness.

Has anyone any clues, places to check, suggestions or experiences?

Thanks in advance.
