emacs fonts are messed up

i just installed emacs with pacman and i get screwed up fonts. and error messages.

Warning: locale not supported by C library, locale unchanged
Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-courier-medium-r-*-*-*-120-*-*-*-*-iso8859-*" to type FontStruct
Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-helvetica-medium-r-*--*-120-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1" to type FontStruct

what could be wrong?

pacman -S xorg-fonts-75dpi
will fix it.
I also had to install xorg-fonts-100dpi because I use auctex.
