I'm a little desperated. The ath9k module never worked like a charm, but since last week its getting worse.
The hardware is ok, its working when windows is started. Also I believe the whole network stack is
working, because with an usb networking wlan card, also everything works nicely.
Wlans are found but after trying connecting, dmesg shows always a timeout:

Why actually is the name renamed from the nicer name wlp2s0.
I looked around in serveral forums and disabling the hardware encryption (nohwcrypt=1) or setting other module settings didn't worked out. Also disabling IP6 didn't help.
Also disabling the standard n had no effect.
I am using the kernel 3.19.3, would love to get some advice,
thanks in advane!

I'm having the same problem too.
I'm using Acer V3-371-52UK
The CPU is Broadwell i5-5200u
No one seem to have the solution for it.
There seems to be some changes to the hardware even though the reported model is the same.
Why is why most solutions doesn't work for us.

Its seems so, I have almost the same model, V3-371-58GA. I never tried using the windows driver with ndiswrapper, maybe this could work.

There's a new patch from Acer for the wifi card. It's concerning the power management of the card and fixed the issue that I had in Windows where the wifi won't work if the power mode in windows is set to high performance. Maybe that could help?

I have the same module for my wifi card but recently I haven't had any problems with the module....Is it your locale?
Just trying to figure things out in this world

Hey. Sorry for the late reply.
I still can't get it to work but previously I do have locale problems because I used en_SG.UTF8. Now, I had fixed the locale problem and yet it still doesn't work.
