Hey,
So I've heard that Gummiboot is going to be added to systemd, and I was wondering what implications it is going to have on Arch linux since it too uses systemd. Normally I would choose rEFInd over gummiboot for my installs because I like the GUI style (yes, I like digital cosmetics a lot). Are there any pro- arguments or benefits to leave rEFInd and switch to gummiboot at this stage?

Not an Installation issue, moving to GNU/Linux discussion...

It would be beneficial if refind adopted the bootloader specification over on freedesktop.org.

This would make it easier to integrate things like bootable snapshots in a standard ways in both gummiboot and refind.

I prefer refind because it has the ability to boot a kernel from a different partition that the one it is installed. It has also the ability to boot a kernel residing in a ext4 partition. According to your system, it is also possible to boot the kernel directly from the efi firmware without any additional boot loader. My firmware accept to boot linux kernel from any fat partition (not necessarily the efi one).

Choose what you like best now, you can switch whenever you want later. Also gummiboot is going to stay very minimal, and never include any GUI style like refind.

In fact, you don't even need to switch. UEFI will allow you to have both set up at the same time!
Of course, if you use rEFInd's filesystem drivers to find the kernel on non-ESP partitions... it might be a bit difficult.
