Epson Perfection 3590 Scanner

I have an Epson Perfection 3590 PHOTO Scanner hooked up to my Arch system.  lsusb recognizes it.  I have sane 1.0.24 (x86_64) installed, and also iscan 2.30.1 (x86_64).

I understand I need to install the iscan plugin for my scanner.  I found a download for an appropriate RPM on the Epson site, but the only download they have available is an i386 rpm.  Pretty sure I can't use the i386 files with the x86_64 version of sane and iscan, correct?  Do I have any other options?  Advice/guidance is appreciated.
