Brother DCP-7065DN: install problem

Hello,

I wanted to install the forementioned printer and followed for this purpose the manual at the arch-wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Brother_DCP-7065DN

But at the penultimate step i had no success, at the command

sudo ./cupswrapperDCP7065DN-2.0.4

I have the following error message:

cp: „/usr/lib/cups/filter/brlpdwrapperDCP7065DN“ and „/usr/lib64/cups/filter/brlpdwrapperDCP7065DN“ are the same file

therefore I cant complete the install and the cups-daemon wont restart.

Do you have any ideas were I could have went wrong in the manual? If you need more information about my system, I am happy to provide it.

Why not use the AUR? https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-dcp7065dn/

I still have the separate -cupswrapper and -lpr packages installed (I think somebody took over maintenance and merged them) and those work great.

Edit: that wiki page hasn't seen any real updates in over 3 years.

thank you! now its working, just had to delete the old files, installed after the wiki manual and that was it. now its printing.

Hi again,

one problem remains, the Duplex-printing doesn’t seem to work. I set it as default, but it’s always printed on two seperate sheets, does anyone know a workaround?
