This is a crosspost from the December 2014 thread.
Solarized AwesomeWM with Numix Solarized-Light GTK and Numix Light icons.
Only been using Arch for about a week, but I've finally gotten AwesomeWM set up the way I want it. I used the Multicolor Awesome WM config as the base for my own config, and added Solarized colors for just about everything but the clock and diagnostic widgets in the top bar.
My AwesomeWM config is available on Github if anybody cares. Since I'm on a low-res laptop, I have just two layouts in my Awesome config: tile.bottom and max. Most of my tags use the max layout. Screenfetch's output isn't quite accurate; I'm using 8pt Source Code Pro Regular in my AwesomeWM config; it's the GTK apps that use Source Sans Pro.
The bash prompt is awesome available on Github, and so is my .xprofile, though it's nothing fancy. I don't have any music going ATM, but I use MPD with Ario as my client.

Thanks, @audiosl4ve. The next step is to root my Chromebook and replicate my setup there. That might be next weekend's project, though.

This time, I wrote a more complex theme. This is to fight back against flat design I grew tired of. Lots of shadow, gradients and 3D effects. Code link in my signature

How do you make it so that tiled windows have small gaps between them? I thought you could do it with borders, but I can't get them to look transparent. Vain does what I want, but it works by completely replacing the built-in layouts.

useless gaps in lain should work
as it says here lain is the successor to vain: http://awesome.naquadah.org/wiki/Lain

It's not the cleanest way to do it, but it works.

There is a patch being reviewed upstream to add native useless gap support to Awesome. We are currently evaluating the best way forward. You can be part of the discussion here https://github.com/awesomeWM/awesome/issues/80

This is my first time trying a tiling window manager so you'd see many gui softwares
A combination of modified multicolor theme and modified conkybar for 1024x600 branch.
ip address removed for obvious reason. There are some redundant info but I like it this way. I can get quick glance from the wibox and if I want more details, I just see the desktop.

Well, just switched from KDE4, a slightly modified version of multicolor theme, added an icon for termfair layout and copied the awesome icon from zenburn theme. Wallpaper from http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/elementary-os-luna-tips/.
Clean:
Terminal (I don't get dirty actually ):
Top wibox:
Awesompd widget, systray and cpu, mem, vol, bat, clock.
Bottom wibox:
launcher, task list, layoutbox
Font: Terminus
Gtk theme: Zukitre,
Icon theme: Moka,
Cursor: Breeze.

New configuration:
Wallpaper from elementary team, Water Lily. Font: Droid Sans (Terminus on console), pretty much the same as in my last screenshots, only I managed to make transparent wiboxes, which is awesome

Getting tired of all the flat color awesome themes out there, so I tried something vaguely OSX-inspired:

Could you tell me how big the image file is (in pixels)? or even better...could you share it hahaha

The size of my screenshot? It's 4480x1440. Or did you mean of the wallpaper? Or of the wibox? I am confused.

I'm sorry, the wibox background

Oh, that's just a 1x21 png. I copied it from an OSX screenshot. The menubar background doesn't tile on OSX (it has a subtle left-right gradient across the entire length), but I have three different monitor sizes that use this theme so I'd rather have something that tiles.
