compiz extra plugins

Dear,

how to install package "compiz-fusion-plugins-extra", when I use "compiz 0.9.12.1-4"? I not use older compiz 0.8-series because "fusion-icon" isn't intall to compiz-0.8 (package not found). But when install "compiz-fusion-plugins-extra" to compiz 0.9-series, install ending with error in conflicts packages "compiz" (0.9) and "compiz-core" (0.8). Sorry my English... Any ideas? Thanks

compiz-fusion-plugins-extra is intended to be used with compiz 0.8 , so won't work with compiz 0.9 .

To get a fusion-icon with compiz 0.9, try installing fusion-icon0.9 from aur.

Ok, so "compiz-fusion-plugins-extra" can't install to compiz-0.9... But where I take/install fire, ... effects to compiz-0.9? Fusion-icon0.9 have installed.

As is explained in the Arch Wiki, the Compiz components, e.g. compiz-plugins-main, compiz-plugins-extra, ccsm etc where unified from Compiz 0.9.8 onwards meaning that you only have to install one package. So you already have compiz-plugins-extra, it is provided by the compiz package.

With regards to the fire animations etc etc, these plugins are not currently available in Compiz 0.9. They were disabled in Compiz 0.9.8 to complete OpenGL ES support and will be re-enabled if patches are received. Given the demand for these plugins on Compiz 0.9, I might look into cobbling together a package with these plugins from old Ubuntu Compiz 0.9.7 binaries.

Edit: I gave this a go with the animationaddon plugin and with an old compiz-plugins-unsupported 0.9.5.92 binary to no avail. The plugins show up in CCSM but segfault when you try to start them. I don't think it's worth pursuing that avenue further.
