Hi, I need to reinstall a system with a ZFS pool. I think I know how to do this but I need to be sure. I have a backup but obviously I rather not have to restore .
My arch install is on a separate SSD, the ZFS pool is on 3 4TB disks as a RAIDZ1.
I think I need to:
- export the pool
- wipe the SSD, reinstall
- add demz-repo-core
- install zfs
- import the pool
Is there anything I'm missing?
Thanks!

Did you ever get any resolution on this? I'm now facing a similar situation but I'm doing it on a GPT/UEFI system.
Edit:
From how I set up my zfs pool in solaris 11, what you're describing SOUNDS right but I'm not sure how it translates to Arch.

No I haven't reinstalled yet. I decided to clean up the system instead. It used to be my workstation but is now a homeserver.
So you're moving from Solaris to Arch?

Oke, I just did it anyways and the above works fine.

Yeah, for my applications I'm happier dealing with Arch's occasional headaches than Solaris's nightmares. Arch seems a lot more configurable..and a lot more of the capability to configure is within reach where in Solaris....some stuff is just downright goofy and I ran out of patience for it.

Glad to hear it.
