So, I was clearing out the ABS tree after uninstalling... Issued
$ sudo rm -R /var/abs
Then proceeded to check if it was deleted properly by pressing up arrow to where I had issued
$ ls /var/abs
deleted /abs, hit enter, and immediately realized I had only pressed the up arrow once and had just ran
$ sudo rm -R /var
Is there any way to recover from this?? I have just recently installed on a new laptop and haven't made a backup yet.
I would rather avoid a re-install if possible, as I just spent a lot of time improving my boot speed. Wish I had spent it making backups.
Thanks in advance for advice!

Without a backup you're kinda screwed.
CPU-optimized Linux-ck packages @ Repo-ck • AUR packages • Zsh and other configs

Well, that's what I was afraid of. Just thought I would check before I went through it...
I've learned two important lessons:
1) Backups come before everything else,
2) Never get comfortable and stop double and triple checking your command line before hitting enter!
Thanks. ...now if I can get this stupid systemd issue sorted out. Got it! Haha!

if it is recent you might be able to recover with something like testdisk.

I had considered trying that by booting up Knoppix, but I was having trouble with it starting via UEFI, and I figured by the time I sorted it out or downloaded another ISO I could have Arch re-installed.
