Re: Freezer 7 Pro or Ninja PLUS?

The reviews I've read indicate that the Ninja is superior in its cooling/noise performance ratio, but it requires a spacious case.

Cheers.

I have also read that the fan on the ninja plus is quite noisy compared to a similar nexus fan - so i think I will just grab the standard ninja and a nexus fan smile

Re: Freezer 7 Pro or Ninja PLUS?

I've got a regular ninja here, with the case provided 120mm antec fan running on lowest.

You could easily get a nexus and a fanmate and drop it down to lowest speed too. Though someone suggested just using the case's provided antec fan as it is a ball bearing fan, and ought to last better in the warmer conditions on the heatsink. Running on lowest, the fan is inaudible.

So, you have no fan mounted on the heatsink?

I've got the antec tri-cool that came with the case, i removed it from the case and mounted it on the heatsink.

I have the NinjaPlus cooling my oc'ed dualcore Opteron. The fan is running @800-900 rpms. I can't hear it.
