It depends on the driver version used, in this case 349.16:

Yeah, yeah, i know, I'm on 349.16. But the thing is that it doesn't work for everybody. So far from the reports on the nvidia forum it seems to be working only for people with maxwell hardware.

Well, it does work on my Kepler (GTX 780), so not sure what else might be the cause.

Wait, it might be a Maxwell after all. First 780 models were Kepler indeed but I might have one of the latest...

Hmm. I thought it only worked on maxwell. Anyway, it seems they didn't test that much those changes they introduced.

OK, I wasn't sure if my card is a Kepler or not but lspci says:
"01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK110 [GeForce GTX 780] (rev a1)"
So GK110 which is definitely a Kepler.

OK, I wasn't sure if my card is a Kepler or not but lspci says:

So GK110 which is definitely a Kepler.

Well, whatever it is they did in the latest release is not working for everybody.
