[Solved] KVM PCI passthrough OCZ Revodrive 3 (PCIe SSD)

Hello,

I'm trying to pass my OCZ Revodrive 3 to a Windows KVM guest, mostly following the KVM VGA-Passthrough guide from this board. It seems to work up to the point where I have to install the driver during Windows installation where the attached error message appears. This happens during Windows 10 setup but it also happened during Windows 7 installation (both x64).  Is there a way to see what the actual problem is? What can I do to correctly pass this device to the guest?

Re: [Solved] KVM PCI passthrough OCZ Revodrive 3 (PCIe SSD)

Sorry, I found the issue. The driver was loaded through a self-created ISO file. This file was broken because it trimmed the file names to 8 characters.

However, I have a new issue. After the setup went through, the guest won't boot from the Revodrive. I again tried the same thing with Windows 7 and 10, no difference. I can see the "Windows Boot Loader" entry in the OVMF BIOS though. A message appears when I try to boot, but it's too quick to read (I think it's similar to "failed to boot ...").

One thing I noticed is, that the OVMF UEFI does not show the usual POST messages of the Revodrive. The default BIOS does show these messages:

Is there a way to configure OVMF to boot from such a device?
