Hm, I feel uncomfortable with all those testing, unstable, personal repository related postings. I think it is difficult to gather from the topic which repository is used, and often I am quite confused reading topics with little input of version numbers ore used repositories, wondering which might be related.
What do you think about special twigs for testing ore unstable related stuff?

Unstable packages are not in any other repository, and are often cvs and such packages. you will not find gnome there.
it would be nice to have some indication of whether people are using testing or current, although splitting the forum seems somewhat overboard.
maybe pick one or two very populated forums and split them? or create a single seperate but not as complete testing forum?

I agree At least one twig for testing / unstable would be enough.

put "[<repos>]<pkgname> - <problem>" as your topic.
Easy as cake. Then just start using the "Threads since last login" link, and you can scan really fast for threads you feel like reading.
Though at the same time there does seem to be a high volume of testing specific threads, maybe it's time they were given their own thingie?

I'm with codemac - more boards is not the answer. What if the issue applies to both but you don't know? I fail to see how seperating them would help - better posting pratice is what is needed but, alas, the forum admins can't click buttons to solve that one, we can only rely on people to do it themselves.
Go forth and set a good example, one and all!

Good idea for solving the issue, except that I don't think you'd ever get the majority of users to do it. I like the idea of a "testing" forum, but we have too many individual forums already. Maybe a consolidation of some type is in order.
