hp multifunction networked printer

I have a hp PSC 1200 multifuncion printer that's hooked up to a windows computer that I want to print to. I've tried setting up cups with the raw printer driver, but it didn't work. Do i need a special driver? if so, where can I find it.

i added my printer, and when i try to test print, the job shows up on the printer in windows, but it never prints. my /var/log/cups/error_log reads simply this:

thats what appeared  when i tried to print. The print job, showed up briefly in KDEs print manager, and then disapeared, yet it remains in the windows print que but never prints. Confusing problem
