I want to change USB polling rate of my mouse (a razer krait, because roccat in my signature it's broken)
I follow our wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mouse_Polling_Rate
but I can't get results: evhz utility shows me always 500Hz even if I set 1000Hz

You could try https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/razercfg/.

ok, I'll give a try
but I don't know why modprobe method doesn't work...?

if your mouse has stored profiles, like most Logitech mice, you'll need to configure it in Windows or a Windows VM with the mouse's software

at least with my razer using razercfg, profiles can only handle DPI, not USB polling
hence neither modprobe options and razercfg can set USB polling rate

Wikipedia only shown 125 Hz for the Krait.
Razerzone itself shows No for 1000hz, after selecting Krait.
Is there a 2013 different-spec version?

I remembered that krait supported 1000Hz....evidently it's wrong....
wikipedia is definitively wrong because evhz show me 500Hz
I pulled out krait box and nowhere I can read about USB polling
I, finally trust in razer site, and krait doesn't support 1000Hz
this thread is now [SOLVED]
thank you @brebs

I would suspect that your evhz program is wrong. Another bit of evidence:
If you drop to the lower setting of 400 dpi you may start to notice a little stuttering as the Krait only has a polling rate of 125Hz – compare that to the new Razer Deathadder with 1000Hz and you can see one of the reasons the Krait is considered a cheap gaming mouse.

mhm, at the moment I can only open an issue at evhz github
EDIT: if you post your feedback I think we can fix the issue
or better confirm that an issue...

in the hope that will not be see as necrodump....
seems that there is a bug in the kernel which affect some USB: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60586
thanks to the github user who posted it in this page: https://github.com/ian-kelling/evhz/issues/3
