virsh and pkttyagent: no agent is available to authenticate

I'm following this article: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Libvirt
If I understood correctly, after installing libvirt the tests in the "Test" section should work.
The second one, for the user session does.
The first one for the system level does not, this is what I get:

> ~ $ virsh -c qemu:///system
> error: failed to connect to the hypervisor
> error: authentication failed: no agent is available to authenticate

I am logged in over ssh. If I run the command with sudo, it works fine. However since my user is in the wheel group, I believe I should be able to run this without sudo.
A possible solution is described in the subsection "Authenticate with file-based permissions", but I would like to avoid this if at all possible.

The note in the "Using polkit" subsection says console users may face an issue with pkttyagent, which I believe I'm facing, but it doesn't mention a solution.

I'm facing the same issue. @tacit, were you able to resolve it somehow?
