I just installed ArchLinux on my computer, together with GDM and GNOME. I have it set to boot with GDM.
Whenever I boot my computer it fails on the regular initramfs (which it did before I installed GNOME) so I use the fallback one temporarily till I figure out a solution. While booting the fallback, I can see my mouse for a brief period, but it soon disappears with my monitor saying it isn't receiving a signal.
What is causing this? How to fix it?
Thanks in advance!

I cannot get my journal because my GDM crashes and the computer doesn't output anything.

Boot into single user mode...

I replaced my nouveau driver with the nvidia one. I set GDM to default to X not Wayland. I now have a new error. GDM just displays a "Oops, something went wrong". Going to a different tty and getting the journal, I can see gnome-session randomly keeps coredumping. I can't see anything too suspicious that could relate to this in the context however.

I fixed it by applying these fixes: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Microcode
