Hello,
I'm currently trying to install arch on my Microsoft Surface Pro 1. (I've previously used Ubuntu)
However the 3.19 kernel, which is used in the current installation iso has a bug, which causes the surface to freeze as soon as the wifi is used
(This bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … g/1449438)
I know that the 3.16 kernel works fine, so I tried following this
Tutorial: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Re … nstall_ISO
to install a kernel I downloaded from here: ftp://seblu.net/archlinux/arm/
After I finished I wrote the iso to my usb stick using dd and tried to boot the surface. Id didn't work and just showed me the efi.
When I opened gparted to inspect the USB drive it told me "Invalid partition table - recursive partition on /dev/sdb"
Can someone tell me how to fix the iso or just provide an outdated install iso running kernel 3.16? (Maybe 3.17-3.18 also work. Haven't tested those.)

ftp://seblu.net/archlinux/archive/iso/2014.12.01/ provides the most recent archived iso. According to https://www.archlinux.org/releng/releases/ its kernel version is 3.17.4.
ftp://seblu.net/archlinux/archive/iso/2014.10.01/ has version 3.16.3.
