Re: conflicts when installing ddd.

those files normally belong to xextproto,libxmu,libxaw...

Can you check to which package they belong on your machine, something may have gone wrong when installing those packages (use 'pacman -Qo /path/to/file')

Re: conflicts when installing ddd.

hmmm.
I tried the first and the last file in the list with the command you provided and they both come back with
No package owns /usr/include/X11/extensions/MITMisc.h

Does it mean I can remove them?

Re: conflicts when installing ddd.

that does mean they are orphaned somehow....which means the package is installed but pacman does not know about it (did you install something bypassing pacman?)
Anyway, best thing to do would be:

pacman -Syf xextproto libxaw printproto libxmu
pacman -S ddd

Re: conflicts when installing ddd.

It is possble that I tried to install the nv drivers bypassing pacman.
Anyway, I took the risk and removed those files (after checking all of them)
and pacman -S ddd worked.

Now waiting for the system to blow up. ;-)

Re: conflicts when installing ddd.

try to stick with pacman/abs/'custom PKGBUILDs' it will really help keeping your system clean over time wink
