Re: pulseaudio-ctl: vol+/- and mute from the shell or shortcut keys

This is much better then the amixer solution (amixer -D pulse sset Master 5%+), it lets me set the volume above 100% and with bad notebook speakers thats priceless

It is! I recommend it to new Arch users all the time :-)
Latest update is great, too!

Re: pulseaudio-ctl: vol+/- and mute from the shell or shortcut keys

Hi,

great tool; Mapped to my laptop keys. One thing though: Would it be possible that the notification bar overlaps the last one? Because if I hold down a button, multiple notification toasts are coming up. Its more a cosmetic request then anythin else.

@smnpl - I am all in favor of this, but am unsure how to implement it.

Re: pulseaudio-ctl: vol+/- and mute from the shell or shortcut keys

In the dbus protocol for notifications, you get an ID from the server and then you can say that the new notification replaces the previous one, but it looks like notify-send doesn't support this.

Re: pulseaudio-ctl: vol+/- and mute from the shell or shortcut keys

I don't have an idea on how either smile
I'm happy as it is anyways, though if one day you figure it out, I'd be even happier.

Thanks for your work!

Re: pulseaudio-ctl: vol+/- and mute from the shell or shortcut keys

Hi,

thanks for this, saved my life smile I have a question though, I can't get notifications to work, do you have any suggestions? I'm on xfce, I did install libnotify and I do have notify-send, as specified in the readme. Any ideas what I could try?

Thanks!
Andrea

EDIT: sorry, this was stupid, I needed to uncomment the notifications line in the configurations.
