Installing Arch on WMware Player, Can't get networking to work

Hello, I am trying to install Arch Linux on VMware Player for testing purposes, but I can't get networking to work.

I can't ping www.google.com, but I can ping my local network adresses like 10.0.1.*

dhcpd is enabled and working, I tried to restart it, but it doesn't help. My wmware network settings is NAT.

I thank you for any help in advance.

Also, please correct the title of the thread and content of the first post to correctly read VMware Player.

Re: Installing Arch on WMware Player, Can't get networking to work

I just found after addidng mirror to my /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist file I can update repositories, so maybe it's ping command issue or something?

After updating repositories I tried to install links www browser and I get error:

Re: Installing Arch on WMware Player, Can't get networking to work

I think I screwed up the system. The networking is probably working, because I update repositories, but as I tried to install package, I get these kind of errors on every command I try to enter:

Maybe it is because I just booted fresh install and didn't configure partitions and file system? But still, why can't I ping the internet?

UPDATE:

It appears I can't ping on my host machine(WIndows 7 at my workplace), I get Request timeout message. So it is probably not an Arch fault.

UPDATE: So it appears, at our office, routers are configured to not let ping global adresses, but internet connection is ok. Topic is Closed.
