Lenovo IdeaPad Z580 fan issues

Hey there, I'm new to ArchLinux, and would consider myself a relative beginner with Linux in general.

I'm currently working through setting up an Arch system on my Lenovo Z580 laptop, and am having trouble getting it to recognize/use the fan. I worked through the Fan Control page on the wiki, and running sensors as root does not list a fan present. I tried finding my chipset in /etc/sensors3.conf  (if I am correct, sensors listed it as either acpitz-virtual-0, or coretemp-isa-0000) and I couldn't locate the entry in which to add the value for the fan.

I hope that made sense. Here is the output for sensors:

acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1: +61.0°C (crit = +104.0°C)

coretemp-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
Physical id 0: +62.0°C (high = +87.0°C, crit = +105.0°C)
Core 0: +60.0°C (high = +87.0°C, crit = +105.0°C)
Core 1: +62.0°C (high = +87.0°C, crit = +105.0°C)

nouveau-pci-0100
Adapter: PCI adapter
temp1: +58.0°C (high = +95.0°C, hyst = +3.0°C)
                       (crit = +105.0°C, hyst = +5.0°C)
                       (emerg = +135.0°C, hyst = +5.0°C)

Either way, the laptop's fan works at the moment, it's just running slowly and causes the machine to get quite hot.

Thanks for any and all help!
