HP Folio 1020 Touchpad Driver

Curious to know if anyone has managed to get the touchpad on this device working?

From a brief interaction with linux-input contributors, it's their position that a new driver has to be implemented for this to work. Has anyone had any experience dealing with HP releasing Windows driver sources?

Re: HP Folio 1020 Touchpad Driver

Does anyone have any experience with the Forcepad touchpad used in this and possibly other similar machines?

The touchpad is interfaced via an I2C controller and whilst the Synaptics kernel drivers are up to date, the controller is sending the wrong (random) signals to the kernel mouse driver. A second driver is required for the I2C controller.

Same issue here. Looks like it's not possible to make it work with Linux, tho Forcepad touchpad from Elitebook 1040 seems to be working with no issues.
