This isn't a major thing, because I can shut down the system just fine, but when I choose shutdown or reboot from the gdm Actions menu...and it goes into the shutdown run, I get this:
Stopping GDM:
/var/run/gdm.pid doesn't exist perhaps GDM isnt running?
Now...it's probably me being picky, but is there a way I can stop it from doing that? It's like the only thing wrong with my whole system...

x:5:respawn:/opt/gnome/sbin/gdm -nodaemonUse run level 5
id:5:initdefault:finally remove gdm from the daemon line in rc.conf

Do you know a way to fix the problem instead using x:5:?

That's not a solution, its an alternative. Why do you people always mix this up? The bug has already been reported. http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/8125
