the virtualbox kernel service is not running

When I boot my machine and start my desktop environment I get a popup message saying...

vboxclient: the virtualbox kernel service is not running

I have virtualbox-host-dkms package installed.  Is there something I'm missing?  Thanks.

Re: the virtualbox kernel service is not running

Have you enabled the service?

If not, read that section.
If so, check the output of systemctl status <whatever the name of the service is>.
