[Solved]Hibernation unreliable on ASUS Z97-P

I recently swapped my old mainboard for an ASUS Z97-P. My CPU is an i5 4460.
Though I didn't reinstall, I rebuild my initramfs. Now hibernating has become a sketchy affair. Sometimes it works, but I get a message saying:

ACPI: Hardware changed, success doubtful

Other times the system just reboots again and then does a regular boot.
I already tried things like deactivating "Fast Boot" in the BIOS, but that didn't change anything.

Edit: Recently switched to GPT/UEFI and know everything is working as it should.

The hibernation attempt itself seems to be successful. The log from that boot ends with a success message.

Edit: Ok it's been a while, but I found out just now that only kernel hibernation mode "platform" doesn't work. Reboot and shutdown modes work just fine. So I worked around the issue by copying /usr/lib/systemd/system/systemd-hibernate to /etc/systemd/system and editing it like this:

Edit2: I stand corrected. Even that didn't work. Now I'm just using hackish scripts. Which works, but has nothing to do with systemd anymore.
Edit3: Ok after further testing that didn't seem to be the solution either.
