ipw2200 upgrade - firmware fails to load

hi,
after big upgrade yesterday, firmware failed to load and my wireless card is not working

dmesg | grep ipw2200

ipw2200: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200/2915 Network Driver, git-1.0.8

ipw2200: failed to register network device
ipw2200: probe of 0000:06:03.0 failed with error -5

I still have 2.6.15 kernel (archck), could this be the reason? will it work only with 2.6.16?

downgrade your firmware or upgrade to -beyond.

the 2.6.16 packages have a newer ipw which requires a newer firmware. 2.6.16-beyond includes this.

thanks, I was going to try -beyond anyway.. in a few days  
but I will upgrade right now cause i need to move to the kitchen with my laptop (my husband don't want me in the same room when he's working )
