After moving to Plasma 5 (and therefore to SDDM) I was missing some of my favourite KDM themes, so I decided to port them to SDDM and to adapt them a bit to the SDDM and Plasma 5 design language.
All the credit goes to the original creators!
archlinux-themes-sddm based on archlinux-themes-kdm
sddm-theme-archpaint2 based on kdm-theme-archpaint2
sddm-theme-archpaint2-breeze withh some more breeze flavour
I hope you like them

Wow awesome, I installed the archpaint2-breeze but it doesn't adjust to my screen, the wallpaper appers centered .

Sorry for noobish question - how to install something like that with .tar.bz2? I'm not asking about installing it using yaourt, but the ones above.

That's probably because the system doesn't "recognize" the screen size and it defaults to /usr/share/sddm/themes/archpaint2-breeze/components/artwork/background.png, which is a link to /usr/share/archlinux/wallpaper/arch_paint_2_1600x1200.png
You could try to replace that link to a one that is close to your screen size. Have a look into /usr/share/archlinux/wallpaper/, choose one that fits nicely your screen and then enter
ln -s /usr/share/archlinux/wallpaper/thepictureyouchoose.png /usr/share/sddm/themes/archpaint2-breeze/components/artwork/background.png

Well, the easiest way is to use the associated AUR packages, as you said. Otherwise you need to copy the file manually in the right place. You might want to read the PKGBUILD to understand where the files go.

Good to hear that the problem is solved.
Yes, you can do the same process again if you want to change wallpaper.
