Since my last system update I can't use VLC anymore.
vlc: error while loading shared libraries: libsysfs.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
A quick google search gave me some information about libsysfs.so.1. It probably came with udev and since my last udev update it doesn't work anymore and I don't know how to solve this problem.
Any suggestions/thoughts?

I believe vlc need to be compiled against sysfs again after the latest update - I have run into this with a couple of packages
i believe it's a matter of waiting for vlc to get updated or else you could copy /var/abs/extra/multimedia/vlc to /var/abs/local and do it yourself

for me it works but the default skin has change (not a problem..) and the "preferences" button doesn't work, and this is a problem because this skin doesn't have any button to load file, i can only drag files from a standard file browser and of course cannot setting anything
i only use current extra and community, not testing

I have the exact same problem as _alexmyself and a friend of mine got libsysfs.so.1 missing too (on a fresh install)...
Deleting ~/.vlc folder didn't help.
Anyone ?

# cd /usr/lib
# ln -s libsysfs.so libsysfs.so.1
Worked for last version of VLC, but the new one with this ugly Aqua skin doesn't work anymore (buttons are not responsive, I can do nothing but close the app :? )
Excessive showering, grooming, and toothbrushing is not only vain, it wastes valuable coding time.
