Trouble while running Xorg :0 -configure

After uninstalling nvidia drivers and installing nouvea drivers (and reinstalling xorg), Xorg -configure does not run correctly. Specifically, it gives the output:

List of video drivers:
	nouveau
	modesetting
No devices to configure. Configuration failed.
(EE) Server terminated with error (2). Closing log file.

I'm attaching the full output below, as well as the output of the log file. After running startx, I get a message that I cannot connect to X because the server is already running. Strangely enough, however, after rebooting, startx runs fine with no xorg.conf file generated, and I've been running i3 for the past few days with no problems regarding X. Should I be worried about not being able to generate an xorg.conf file? Or can I safely ignore it?

Some additional info:
- Package xf86-video-nouveau is version 1.0.11-3
- Package xorg-server is version 1.17.2-2
- I had run Xorg -configure successfuly when I was using the nvidia proprietary drivers.
- I switched to Nouveau drivers because they allow me to wake from sleep in a TTY shell. Using the proprietary drivers, the screen remained black but the computer fan and lights turned on when I woke from sleep (systemctl -suspend).
- My graphics card is a GTX 660.

Here is the output mentioned above:

Re: Trouble while running Xorg :0 -configure

Run this to be sure you uninstalled Proprietary and installed Nouveau libs

sudo pacman -S --needed mesa mesa-libgl lib32-mesa lib32-mesa-libgl nouveau-dri lib32-nouveau-dri
sudo pacman -R nvidia-libgl lib32-nvidia-libgl nvidia-utils lib32-nvidia-utils
sudo pacman -S xf86-video-nouveau

Read this also to double check installation steps -> Nouveau

Re: Trouble while running Xorg :0 -configure

Thanks for the troubleshooting ideas. Unfortunately, it appears that I had everything installed correctly (I verified this by the above commands and double checked my installation process on that wiki page).

Re: Trouble while running Xorg :0 -configure

Arch wiki xorg page wrote:

Note: Arch supplies default configuration files in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d, and no extra configuration is necessary for most setups.

xorg autodetects more or less everything these days - an individually generated xorg.conf per system has not been required for a long time.
