steam font problem

Hi all,

I'm having a strange problem with steam. All the fonts are shown as squares. BTW, I installed steam fonts but it didnt help.

I'm running a 64-bit installation and here's some output when I run steam from the terminal:

Hello

Did you tried the valve instructions for "Missing or scrambled text in Steam menus"? https://support.steampowered.com/kb_art … -YFKL-4947 The arch wiki says it should works for Linux aswell.

Have you tried ttf-liberation also a suggestion solution from the wiki.
